- Otto Bentham: “Five Degrees to the Left” – Circles of a target are painted onto the lawn in white, secured at the bullseye with croquet hoops, and then pelted with bottles of red wine using a reconstructed Roman catapult. (08×06: Hidden Depths)

- Harvey Crane: A steel wire is strung across the road, cleanly severing his head as he rides his motorcycle – which then crashes into Barnaby’s windscreen. (08×08: Midsomer Rhapsody)
